Fr. Matthew Kelty celebrated the 50th anniversary of his entry into
Gethsemani.

Fr. Matthew is a well-known writer and speaker on spiritual matters.
For many years, he gave talks to the guests after compline every
evening. These "compline talks," part rumination, part poetry
reading, were central to the retreat experience of a generation
of visitors.
His services to the community over the years have been inestimable
and he is treasured as our most senior member.
