The Folk Choir of the University of Notre Dame graced the Abbey of Gethsemani this weekend by spending a few days on retreat.

On Saturday evening, they shared a concert of their music with the monks and with the community outside the monastery.

Under the direction of Steve Warner, the choir has been a regular visitor to Gethsemani since the early 1980's.

Our own Fr. Chrysogonus was a supporter of the choir and contributed some of his music to their repertoire.

The music on Saturday evening was beautful and uplifting, and included the beautiful Rosa Mystica in Fr. Chrysogonus' setting, as well as a new piece by Steve Warner celebrating the year of consecrated life.

The Notre Dame Folk Choir performs all over North America.
