March 12, 2026 - We welcome Ryan Sullivan to our community

Please join us in welcoming Ryan Sullivan as the newest member of our community.

Ryan has been discerning his vocation with us as an observer over the past year or so, and his discernment has led him to join Gethsemani as a postulant.

Ryan will join Br. David and Br. Gerard in the novitiate, living with them in the novitiate wing, working with them, taking classes, and participating in all other novitiate activities.

As a postulant, though, Ryan’s main work here is to continue to discern God’s call for him, and, we pray, to deepen his relationship with God through his relationship with the monastic life as it is lived here at Gethsemani and his relationship with the brothers in this house.

We ask prayers for postulant Ryan and for our community.
