In Pictures: Snow blankets Gethsemani

The abbey got around six inches of snow within a few hours on Jan. 6. Snow is not atypical for Gethsemani in winter, but such a heavy snowfall happens infrequently.

While the weather led to some complications – one of the abbey employees got stuck on the road picking up groceries! – it was also beautiful. Several brothers could not resist the opportunity to snap photos around the abbey grounds. Below are some of those images.
